My research passion lies in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) with a special focus on wireless and mobile systems. An important goal of my research is to build novel IoT systems to facilitate people’s smarter lifestyles. For example, people can input, control and interaction via natural gestures: writing and drawing anywhere with any objects. I made multiple contributions in IoT field including wireless connectivity for extreme mobility [8], wireless localization [3,5,7,10], motion tracking [1,2,4,9], and mobile health [6,11]. To develop these IoT solutions, I draw on my diverse set of skills, including signal processing, system hacking, computer networks, and machine learning. I also build up tight collaborations with top researchers from well-known institutes, such as Princeton, Yale, CMU, ETH Zurich, UMASS, Tsinghua, HKUST, PolyU and NTU.
